DEEP LEARNING RESEARCH
Deep Learning Research Scientist (m/f)
Your Role:
  • You will work in our research team to extend the capabilities of neural networks applied to video / audio / text  understanding and common sense reasoning.

  • You will perform research on recurrent networks, attention policies, multi-task learning and scaling up training.

  • You will have expert understanding of NIPS, ICLR, CVPR, PAMI.

  • You will help define and shape a  platform with practical real world client applications from Day 1. at the forefront of Deep Learning and AI.

Your Profile:

You have completed / completing your PhD or MSc and had significant exposure to A.I / Machine Learning and its subset Deep Learning. Ideally  

  • You have extensive knowledge of Python, as well as Tensorflow, Theano or similar DL frameworks.

  • You have very strong communication skills.

  • You don’t mind getting your hands dirty to solve difficult technical problems.

  • You are passionate about Artificial Intelligence and believe that it is the most transformative technology that currently exists.

AI, DEEP LEARNING, HPC RESEARCH
HPC, AI, BIGDATA TECNOLOGY ENGINEER (m/f)
Your Role:
EngineRoom.io’s Systems team is responsible for servers, storage and networking across our MSP and NOC facilities. We’re looking for someone to help support and maintain our Production infrastructure. We deliver BigData, AI, ML and DL Managed services to some of the leading teams and clients in the country.

You must enjoy working as part of an team in a fast moving environment with changing requirements and deadlines. We’re looking for a technically-minded person who is self-motivated and good at problem solving and coming up with new ideas.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Centralized and remote systems management.

  • Package management (YUM/YAST/RPM/dpkg/ports…)

  • Networking (Cisco/Juniper/Foundry…)

  • NFS storage administration (Netapp/EMC/ZFS…)

  • VMWare VSphere Admin.

  • Strong understanding of the following networking protocols and services: DHCP, DNS, NFS, CIFS/Samba

  • Previous use of Nagios, Cacti desirable.

  • Experience with parallel processing (GNU parallel etc)

  • Experience with high performance / high capacity storage systems

  • Experience with central package management, (WDS etc)

  • Automation/DevOps experience

  • Open source contributions looked upon favorably.

  • Industry certifications (VCP, RHCE,CCNA, JNCIS…)

KEY SKILLS:
  • Strong Windows/Linux/Unix/Solaris system administration

  • Windows administration skills, (powershell scripting a bonus)

  • Scripting/Programming (Perl/Python/Ruby/Java…)

  • Configuration management (Puppet/Chef…)

  • A service orientated sensibility.

  • A solid understanding of Big Data solutions. (Hadoop and data fabric experience, highly favored.)

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with production DB’s and administration applications (including: MSSQL, SAS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NOSQL, MONGODB, Redis, Oracle etc)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor level degree.

  • 3+ years’ commercial work experience

  • Advanced + Python, Bash and general scripting skills highly desirable.

  • Experience working in an Agile team

  • AWS, Data Warehouse, AZURE, Google Compute Platform Experience 

  • Public/Private and Hybrid Cloud computing solutions

  • AI, DL, ML Platform Development Experience & Administration

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Our Data Mechanics work as part of multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with designers, other analytics team members, Data engineers, business subject matter experts and technology delivery teams to deliver strategic research projects from design to execution.

The nature of these projects changes as ideas and concepts mature, ranging from research, proofs-of-concept and the art-of-the-possible to the delivery of real-world applications for our clients.


They work on the entire lifecycle of research projects; developing the designs with team leads, collaborating with business experts for business understanding, working with analytics consultants and platform engineers for solutions and with technology teams for prototyping and client implementations.

The Analyst should have a passion for data and technology, be prepared for a hands-on technical role and be hungry to learn and develop their skills. They will be expected to follow the key technology trends in the analytics domain, understand the related business implications and nurture and share new ideas. You will be working on projects that run the gamut of BigData, AI, ML and DL Managed services to some of the leading teams and clients in the country.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science, or a related scientific discipline
  • Hands-on data analytics experience, ideally including exposure to areas such as statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining and unstructured data analytics
  • Knowledge of statistical and related tools/languages such as R, SAS, Python or similar
  • Awareness of techniques and tools for working with large data sets such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive and equivalent technologies
  • Experience with or exposure to Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Cognitive Computing or Artificial Intelligence 
  • Ability to work in a global collaborative team environment
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
